Ready to shake up your warm weather meal rotation? We have lots of cool and tasty recipes to explore on our Recipes page! Check them out at www.willystreet.coop/recipes or go to the 🔗 in our bio.
Some new ones we are excited about:
🍊 Coconut Orange Cardamom Iced Coffee: Cold brew coffee is one of the joys of summer, delivering a potent coffee brew that can stand up to a glass full of ice. Cardamom and orange is a combination found all over the Middle East where it’s a classic flavor in many sweet treats.
🫒 Mezze Board with Labneh: Boards spread with cheeses or charcuterie are good, but it might be time to break away and try a mezze board. Make your own labneh by draining Greek yogurt, making a smooth, thick spread.

🗞 Have you seen the June Reader yet?
This year marks the 125th anniversary of the Wisconsin State Parks system—an incredible milestone in preserving and enjoying our natural spaces. From the iconic Devil’s Lake and Apostle Islands to Madison’s own Hoyt and Donald County Parks, Wisconsin offers a rich variety of outdoor escapes at the city, county, and state levels.
Andy, our feature article writer, pays tribute to the work of the Department of Natural Resources, dedicated Parks staff, and countless volunteers, who ensure these spaces are maintained, restored, and enhanced for recreation, education, and ecological preservation. From foraging and fishing to guided hikes and birdwatching, there’s no shortage of ways to connect with nature. 🌳

Here's the line-up for the next 3 weeks:
June 18th: Eric De Los Santos Better known as the Madison Marimba Man, Eric De Los Santos is a professional marimba player who is often spotted busking on State St. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Eric has made Madison his home since 2014. It wasn’t until he was 11 years old when Eric began formal music training with the middle school band program. Eric’s journey through learning and mastering marimba went into high gear in the summers of 1997, 1998 and 1999 when he was recruited and competed with the Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps. Along with several solo performances, Eric is a part of the Beni Daiko Taiko group and Toco Beach Steel Pan - both based out of Madison.
June 25th: The Soundbillies
The SoundBillies are a Madison area band, together now for five years. While their first love is traditional bluegrass, their sets will show that they also enjoy blues, country, folk and gospel. You may have heard them in a variety of settings, like Make Music Madison, farmers markets, and local festivals. They love to play every chance they get.
July 2nd: Delvis
Delvis picked up the guitar at age 45. Wanting to learn to play he played the same tune continually but didn't drive Lynn (Mrs. Delvis) crazy. After his first time in front of an audience he was hooked and got the Delvis moniker. Delvis continues to play Hank, Johnny, Tom Waits and a bunch of old country and old pop tunes. Having fun is the best. Come out and we'll have a good time!
